Position Summary:

The Assembly Technician is responsible for installing parts as required to meet goals and objectives in compliance with standard work time.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

* Install parts-motors, consoles, lids, gunnel boards, hard tops, upholstery, helm seats, and tackle stations.

* Must be able to follow all safety rules and hazardous material guidelines.

* Able to follow directions.

* Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

* Must be able to keep work area and nearby area clean at all times.

* All other duties as might be required.

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to lift parts and pieces up to 50 lbs., traveling up and down stairs, sitting, squatting and bending in various awkward positions for certain lengths of time - including working overhead, traveling in and out of work areas, walking and being on your feet for a majority of the workday. Physical exertion is required.

Typical 10 hour work days, frequent overtime required.
