Job Type Full-time Description The Assembly Technician at Kleen-Rite Corp. will be issued new equipment orders (EO's) and be expected to complete orders in a designated amount of time under the direction of the Production Manager. Attention to quality control, customer satisfaction, and team approach are of the utmost importance. The Assembly Technician will assist in maintaining necessary inventory levels so builds are not delayed. The Assembly Technician will be required to maintain training on new equipment at the direction of the Production Manager. Other duties will include, but not be limited to, inventory management, parts requests, assembly, testing, and preparation for delivery to the customer. This position may also include, but not limited to, shop maintenance, crating, moving inventory, maintaining organized work areas, inventory transfers between buildings, receiving deliveries from vendors, cardboard management, crate management, or other requirements designated by the Production Manager. Upon adequate job experience the Assembly Technician will be expected to field customer calls related to delivered EO's with respect to questions or troubleshooting. Other duties will include but not be limited to Primary Responsibilities:
- Receive Equipment Order's from Production Manager.
- Assist Production Manager and administration so their duties can be performed properly.
- Keep accurate labor records per build so time per build can be measured.
- Procure parts through the proper channels.
- Manage Equipment Orders documentation from start to finish and assure tracking and notes are accurate.
- Pass all testing on certain pieces of equipment when called upon.
- Assist with documentation of workflow and work procedures.
- Demonstrate Enthusiasm - be a positive and encouraging presence.
- Maintain a strict safety policy and weekly topics. Perform task with safety in mind.
- Use provided Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) whenever it is required. Inform manager if PPE is depleted.
- Track and maintain tools and tools supplies.
- Perform inventory every six months with Production Manager.
- Request new inventory levels from manager as required.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED, required.
- Previous work experience commensurate with the position- 5 years minimum, required.
- Car wash industry or industrial experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to take directions well, learn quickly & prioritize, multi-task and follow through to effectively maintain workflow.
- Ability to be productive when working as a member of a team and independently.
- Ability to use power tools & safely move heavy objects.
- Ability to perform duties with safety in mind while cutting, grinding, lifting, drilling.
- Strong aptitude towards mechanical assembly, high and low voltage electrical, pneumatics and plumbing.
- Strong aptitude towards print, schematic, and or drawing interpretation- and putting into practice.
- Strong aptitude towards 3 phase wiring.
- Strong aptitude towards results and departmental efficiency.
- Must be willing and able to learn new technology and computer programs such as: RF Scanners, Printing Programs, components of MS Office Suite and NetSuite.
- Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able and willing to drive a Forklift, Experience and certification a plus.
- Must be able to operate a pallet-jack, stretch wrapper and other warehouse equipment as necessary.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, sit, kneel and move about the facilities
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly; heavy lifting at times with proper equipment
- Ability to reach/lift/push/pull up to and above shoulder height frequently
- Ability to handle, control, and move tools or objects
- Frequent bending, kneeling, or stooping
- Performing repetitive motions, such as use of hand tools and wiring
- Ability to see details at close range
- Occasionally climbing on ladders or step stools to reach parts or equipment
- Be able to use and work with a computer, and other technology that regularly requires you to be within 20 inches of a computer/electronic screen.
