Assembly TechnicianDepartment: Precision Employment Type: Full Time Location: Dallas, Texas Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 / year Description Precision BioMEMS is a cutting-edge microelectrical mechanical systems (MEMS) fabrication facility in Addison, Texas, owned by Precision Neuroscience. The facility produces thin-film, biocompatible microelectrode arrays for Precision Neuroscience's brain-computer interface system and offers foundry services to pioneering third-party companies. a Precision BioMEMS employee, you will have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the microfabrication business-from the commercial production of highly regulated medical devices to trailblazing research & design. You will be joining a small, collaborative team with decades of experience in MEMS and an interest in exploring new processing methods. Precision BioMEMS team members work together to solve complex problems for both Precision Neuroscience and the facility's third-party customers, whose industries range from medical diagnostics to advanced micro mechanical sensing. Most importantly, your work will make a profound difference in the lives of people with disabilities. Precision Neuroscience's products are designed to serve people who have become severely paralyzed as a result of conditions including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and ALS. The company's brain-computer interface system will enable these individuals to regain independence, communicate with loved ones, and return to life. We are seeking an Assembly Technician to report to the Operation Manager and be responsible for properly executing test plans provided by the engineering team as well as maintaining a diverse list of certifications for general processing. The technician shall also provide support and training, as well as document processes and procedures. This position is on-site at our Addison, Texas office. We are unable to consider remote workers or people not currently based in the United States, and who do not have working rights. Key Responsibilities
- Review and execute assembly and manufacturing activities provided by the engineering team and/or management.
- Coordinate and monitor production activity.
- Inspect wafers and document results or issues.
- Prepare reports as needed/requested by the engineering team.
- Perform quality checks and Preventative Maintenance activities.
- Pursue training on assigned area of the fab as well as cross training once -primary certifications have been obtained.
- Attend shift pass downs to communicate prior shift activities and facilitate a smooth handover to the following shift.
- Write and update specifications.
- Enter data into and review SPC charts.
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseEDUCATION
- High school diploma; AS or BS degree in a technical field (electronics, chemistry, physics, math, engineering) is preferrable
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Min 2 years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment..
- Knowledge and experience working with MEMS and MEMS fabrication techniques in a semiconductor fab environment.
- Candidate must have good communication skills, be proficient in standard Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project).
