Assembly Technician Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Assembles Control Panel Backplates
- Assists with mounting/hanging backplates
- Accurately interprets panel layouts and bills of material
- Drills and taps holes.
- Installs component mounting equipment
- Identifies and mounts control panel components
- Assembles Control panel exteriors
- Safely Punches/saws cutouts for equipment
- Mounts, secures, and seals equipment to enclosures

Supervisory Responsibilities - No supervisory responsibilities
Training Required - Completes Company LEAN training and participates in Kaizen events as needed.
- Understands Company Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements and how it applies to this position as determined by ISO 9001 and to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Completes Company Forklift Training
- Completes Company Crane Training
Education & Experience - High School diploma/GED preferred.
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude a plus.
Additional Qualifications - Knowledge and familiarity with common hand & power tools
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Ability to correctly use measuring equipment
- Willing to learn/master new skills
- Ability to interpret a variety of instruction, either written or verbal, diagram or schedule.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to work with fractions and decimals, converting them back and forth.

- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize time and various projects.
Work Environment This position operates in a manufacturing production setting. It occasionally is exposed to movement of mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually loud/moderate. Typical days and hours are 10 hour days, Monday through Thursday. Overtime as required.
Physical Demands The position will require frequent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. Occasionally, it may require sitting, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
