Job Description:
As an Assembly & Test Technician, you will be responsible for complex assembly and test operations on optical, electrical, electronic, and electromechanical subassemblies. All assembles will require following protocols for safely working with precision optical and ultra-high vacuum assembly.Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex assembly and test operations on optical, electrical, electronic, and electromechanical subassemblies.
  • Follow protocols appropriate for precision optical and ultra-high vacuum assembly.
  • Execute calibration and quality control procedures.
  • Contribute where needed on a wide range of day-to-day tasks.
  • Maintain records and logs.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Requirements
  • High-energy person with positive attitude, self-starter and finisher.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with a desire to assist and enable coworkers.
  • Quick learner able to continuously acquire and retain new skills.
  • Logical thinker with natural troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Mechanical and electronics assembly skills.
  • Proficient in use of various hand tools (both manual and powered).
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity and ability to work with complex delicate components.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams and to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Capable of lifting up-to 40 lbs.
  • Associates degree or higher in electronics or related field, military electronics training plus work experience.
  • 5 - 7 years relevant experience with complex electromechanical or high vacuum systems (e.g., SEM, TEM, semiconductor fab tools, etc.).
