Job Description:
Description: Assembly of lighting fixtures and fixture components with small hand tools. Label, count and package products. Responsibilities for assembler roles include but are not limited to:
  • Basic to complex assembly of lighting fixtures weighing less than 15 lbs.
  • Use of hand tools such as power assisted screwdriver and socket wrench.
  • May require wiping down and inspecting parts. Disassembly of returned units
  • Report defective material or questionable condition to department supervisor
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Verify quantity of components, counting and verification of box amounts
  • Trouble shoot and inspection of goods
  • Applying UL and daycode labels to finished goods
Requirements:
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Good hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills performing repeat tasks
  • Able to work independently and with others
  • Able to stand or sit for prolonged periods
  • Ability to use small hand held power assisted tools
  • Maintain sufficient levels of supplies by ordering through the Supervisor
  • Assist with year-end inventory audit
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and the facility.
