Description: Assembly of lighting fixtures and fixture components with small hand tools. Label, count and package products. Responsibilities for assembler roles include but are not limited to:
- Basic to complex assembly of lighting fixtures weighing less than 15 lbs.
- Use of hand tools such as power assisted screwdriver and socket wrench.
- May require wiping down and inspecting parts. Disassembly of returned units
- Report defective material or questionable condition to department supervisor
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Verify quantity of components, counting and verification of box amounts
- Trouble shoot and inspection of goods
- Applying UL and daycode labels to finished goods
Requirements:
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Good hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills performing repeat tasks
- Able to work independently and with others
- Able to stand or sit for prolonged periods
- Ability to use small hand held power assisted tools
- Maintain sufficient levels of supplies by ordering through the Supervisor
- Assist with year-end inventory audit
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and the facility.
