The Asset Management Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Asset Management team in the day-to-day analysis and execution of strategic, financial, and operational decisions for our multifamily portfolio. The position will be responsible for performing high-quality, detailed analysis and support needed to drive occupancy, financial performance, and the physical preservation of the properties within the portfolio. The position is ideally suited for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with a solid real estate asset management background and a strong work ethic. The position will work closely with all divisions including investment, development, legal, and accounting. This individual should have the desire to be a part of an expanding, fast-paced company, and work within a team of other highly motivated individuals. This position will be based in our Dallas office and will report to the Director of Asset Management.
Responsibilities:
· Ownership for all analysis and financial modeling
· Assist in developing, improving, and maintaining internal and external reporting tools and templates
· Provide primary analytical support needed to monitor and implement each property's business plan and budget
· Analyze property financial data and property performance metrics to maximize revenues and minimize expenses
· Leverage thorough analysis and experience to provide and execute solutions for property improvements and assist in the development and monitoring of strategies to maximize asset values
· Assist in preparing narratives and financials for internal & external reporting
· Problem-solve property and portfolio level issues through research, analysis, and implementation
· Work with the team to track and monitor initial & long-term capital improvement projects
· Assist in conducting due diligence and financial modeling for new acquisitions and dispositions
· Perform property manager performance analysis to help oversee 3rd party property management firms and ensure optimal performance through clearly defined systems and controls
Job Requirements:
· 1-2 years of experience in multifamily asset management
· Strong financial and analytical skills with an emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy
· Bachelor's degree (prefer real estate, business, statistics, or data science)
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· An analytical approach with a results-oriented mindset
· Excellent time management skills with an ability to work independently and multitask when needed
· Advanced MS Excel skills, experience with Yardi is preferred, but not required
· Approaches work proactively and enjoys solving novel, challenging problems
· Demonstrates a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
