Job Title: Asset ManagerLocation: New York City Reports To: Director, Business Asset Management Job Summary: The Asset Manager will manage a portfolio of wind and solar assets across the United States and Canada to ensure their optimal performance, efficiency and profitability. This role encompasses the management of key contracts and stakeholder relationships, oversight of revenue optimization and settlements, internal and external reporting, collaboration with the operations team on essential O&M initiatives, and management of expenses. Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Oversee all contracts related to renewable assets, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), financing agreements, lease, O&M service agreement, interconnection agreement and permits. Manage all commercial and contractual obligations for a portfolio of renewable energy assets with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Revenue Management and Optimization: Monitor revenue streams, manage settlements, and ensure accurate billing and financial reporting for all renewable assets. Coordinate with trading team to optimize asset revenue and support market operations processes.
- Operations Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and engineering, to ensure optimal asset performance. Track obligations and performance guarantee of the O&M provider.
- Portfolio Management: Partner with the FP&A and Accounting teams to lead internal and external reporting, conduct budget analysis, and perform forecasting to support strategic planning.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal teams and external partners to communicate performance updates, address operational challenges, and identify strategic opportunities for growth.
- Data Analysis: Collaborate with Performance and Trading team, utilize data to analyze asset performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Provide strategic recommendations based on data insights to enhance operational efficiency and commercial profitability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Finance, or a related engineering science. Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in asset management or related field, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Experience in negotiating and managing commercial contracts with an understanding of contract law and typical commercial contractual arrangements required for renewable generation assets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and develop effective solutions to challenges.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and databases (e.g., SQL) is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a team environment.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Pay Range: $100,000 - $150,000
