The Nasdaq index business is seeking an experienced sales individual to join our dynamic and growing Index Licensing Sales team and serve the Americas Asset Owner and Consultant community. The role will focus on working with Asset Owners and Consultants in the Americas to identify and help facilitate growth opportunities which include investment in financial products that track existing or newly developed Nasdaq indexes and the adoption of existing or newly developed custom indexes that align with client's asset allocation/benchmarking/investment policies.
- Develop new relationships for the Nasdaq Index business with Americas Asset Owners and Consultants to identify client needs and strategically position Nasdaq as a partner to help them achieve their investment goals
- Develop and maintain relationships with investment managers, investment consultants, and pension plans across the US Defined Contribution space with a focus on facilitating increased availability and adoption of the Nasdaq-100 within 401k plans
- Establish direct engagement with Endowments and Foundations and work with our asset manager partners to drive index-linked product adoption and other solutions across the segment
- Function as a central liaison to investment management teams to ensure active and enthusiastic support of new mandate and allocation decisions and establish yourself as the key contact for asset manager responses to client requests/RFPs
- Collaborate with Marketing on the development of relevant collateral and go-to-market plans to ensure appropriateness for client presentations, conferences, and/or opportunities
- Collaborate with Index Research, Product Development, and Index Licensing Sales to identify strategic product priorities that will serve the institutional investor segment
- Serve as a mentor across the index sales organization to further educate on approaches relevant to selling across the Asset Owner and Consultant landscape
- Manage commercial framework discussions with institutional client base
- Collaborate with teams across Nasdaq to understand the full breadth of services Nasdaq provides and identify cross sell opportunities through the One Nasdaq approach
- Education Required: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree, CFA, CAIA, CMT or other relevant certification preferred
- Experience Required: At least 10 years sales/relationship management/business development experience serving the Americas Asset Owner and Consultant community
- Languages Required: English
- Possess established relationships across the Asset Owner and Consultant channel with a particular focus on an ability to navigate the Defined Contribution Segment
- Broad understanding across a range of asset classes, including Equity, Fixed Income, Alternatives, and Derivatives
- Ability to identify new prospects, create new opportunities, and build and manage client relationships
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to tackle complex commercial and strategic problems
- A lifelong learner equipped with a fundamental understanding of capital markets, investing, portfolio management, and important financial and technological trends impacting global markets
- Proven ability to work and navigate in a matrix organization, including partnering, consulting, and building consensus among internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Ability to travel extensively to meet with prospects and clients
