For more information on the company, please visit www.canadian-solar.com.The Asset & Risk Administrator is accountable for recording the cost of newly acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets, for company's US manufacturing business. The Asset & Risk Administrator would also need to liaise with global insurance manager to manage insurance program for US manufacturing business. This position would require working around the clock to discuss insurance program and requirements with global insurance manager in Asia. The qualifications for this position include skills in SAP ERP system and office software like Microsoft Excel.
Primary Responsibilities:- Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.
- Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets.
- Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.
- Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger.
- Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets and perform account reconciliation.
- Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
- Liaise with global insurance manager to manage insurance program for US manufacturing business.
- Participate in the year-end financial statement audit through effectively responding to specific requests and inquiries from the internal and external audit team.
- Participate in other strategic finance, accounting, and business projects if needed.
Qualifications and Experience:- Master's degree in finance or related field required.
- 5+ years of work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experiences with insurance would be an asset.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP system and Microsoft Office with demonstrated expertise in Excel.
- Experiences with working in global environment and open to work around the clock.
- Advanced knowledge of mathematics and statistics.
- Strong financial analysis skills and understanding of organizational accounting concepts.
- Good attention to detail with excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously in an accurate and on a timely basis.
