Posting DetailsPosition InformationJob Title Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Department Biomedical Sciences - 31270 Pay Grade 1 Job Category Faculty Job Summary The Department of Biomedical Sciences ( DBMS ) at the Quillen College of Medicine, East Tennessee State University ( ETSU ), invites applications for multiple full-time tenure track open-rank faculty positions.We encourage applications from individuals with research expertise in one or more of the following areas of major strength within the department:
- Cancer
- Cardiovascular/Renal
- Immunology/Infectious Disease
- Neuroscience
Promising candidates in other areas of biomedical research will also be considered. Applicants with extramural funding through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or who are eligible to apply for VA funding are encouraged to apply. Consideration will also be given to cluster or group hiring in the areas of departmental strength.Applicants are expected to engage in basic and translational research, sustain independent research funding, publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, and participate in teaching medical and/or graduate students. Required Qualifications
- Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree
- Postdoctoral research experience

- Applicants with a strong publication record and nationally competitive research program or the potential to develop such a research program independently and/or in collaboration with DBMS faculty.
