The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, number of months worked, as well as internal equity among our team.
Salary bands reflect a 9-month base salary:
Assistant: $62,823-$75,387
Associate: $71,927-$86,312
Job Summary:
The College of St. Scholastica (CSS) is seeking to fill an undergraduate faculty position to teach courses for the Management and Business Studies Department. This is a nine-month position in the undergraduate program. Faculty rank, tenure option and salary are negotiable based on terminal degree and experience. The teaching load for full-time faculty is three, four-credit courses per semester over two semesters for a total teaching load of 24 credit hours. The selected applicant will develop and teach undergraduate business courses offered during the day on the Duluth Campus.
Key Results/Responsibilities:
* Teach required courses for the undergraduate business programs. Additional responsibilities include advising, recruiting majors, curriculum planning and assessment; internship supervision; research and scholarly activities; college and community service.
* A successful candidate will regularly participate in professional development activities related to teaching skills, technology use, and diversity and inclusion in higher education.
Required Qualifications:
* Master's degree with at least 15 graduate credits in accounting, finance, economics, or management or working towards completion of those credits.
* Three or more years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or management.
* Demonstrated ability to learn and use new technologies
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and/or teach quantitative business concepts to people outside the field.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience teaching or effectively communicating interpretation and analyses of financial statements and/or investments.
* Experience teaching undergraduate classes.
* Terminal degree or ABD in a business-related field.
* CPA, CMA, CFA or similar certification.
* Ability to teach in person, on-line or hybrid courses as conditions require.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
