The candidate is expected to participate fully in departmental recruitment, advising/mentoring activities, promoting the Department within the state, nationally and internationally. Voice faculty must recruit, retain, teach and graduate a strong studio of singers at the undergraduate level and must be effective in fulfilling committee service, grantsmanship, and expected to be significantly active in creative and/or research activities consistent with all faculty appointments.QualificationsQualificationsA Masters degree in vocal performance and/or pedagogy is required; a completed doctorate is required for tenure-track appointment and rank of Assistant Professor. The candidate should have significant concert or stage experience in the field of opera/musical theatre and a demonstrated capacity as a studio voice teacher at the university level.
