Summary:
The Assistant Athletic Trainer works under the supervision of the Associate Athletic Director of Student Athlete Services and supervises the care of student athletes competing in Lynn University's athletic programs. This position includes all phases of the prevention, medical coverage, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of assigned athletic teams. This also includes administrative duties including, but not limited to: daily medical records, insurance claim reports and any other duties as assigned. Sport assignments will be determined. Employment is a full-time, 10-month position.
Job Description:
Essential duties and responsibilities
* Prevention of athletic injuries and illnesses
* Evaluation of athletic injuries
* Treatment of athletic injuries
* Providing counseling and education to student athletes
* Athletic training administrative duties
* Provide medical coverage of practices and competitions
* Recordkeeping and documentation
* Work with doctors and other allied health professionals to deliver care to student athletes
* Abide by NCAA and Sunshine State Conference rules and regulations
* Other duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications
* Bachelor's degree with experience in collegiate athletics. Master's degree preferred.
* Current NATABOC certification
* Florida State Licensure (or eligible)
* Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
