DescriptionAssistant Attractions Manager, Full-Time, Orlando FL. GENERAL SUMMARY: Supports manager in providing leadership to the Crayola Experience Attractions department to deliver a high-quality guest experiencewhile meeting all financial and operational requirements. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for CE financial performance - attendance, revenue and EBIT.
- Supports the Attractions Manager in the management of Attractions budget/cost center. Monitors inventory of attractions supplies and develops recommended supply orders.
- Responsible for delivering a high quality, safe quest experience - a minimum of 95% guest satisfaction rating.
- Monitors daily operations of each attraction and adapts staffing/operational plans as required to deliver best guest experience.
- Handles any guest relation issues as they arise.
- Supports the Attraction Manager in managing the Attraction staff, in some locations this may include Maintenance and Custodial Staff.
- Provides on-boarding and remedial training to all Attractions staff, as needed.
- Recommend daily staff schedules and rotations for approval by Attraction Manager
- In conjunction with the Attractions Manager, supervises all Attractions staff on duty.
- Provides required direction, coaching and disciplinary action, as needed.
- Provides input into performance review evaluations for staff.
- Approve time records in Kronos.
- Responsible for equipment inspections and audits to ensure optimal working condition.
- Communicates any issues to other departments.
- Works with 3rd party equipment vendor for equipment, troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Manages and oversees special events, birthday parties, teacher workshops.
- Participates in the Manager on Duty rotation. While on duty, assumes management responsibility across all department in the facility.
- Participate in job fairs and interviewing candidates, recommends candidates to hire.
- Provides input on any Attractions department policies and operational decisions.
- Provide leadership support in other departments as required by the business. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1-year supervisory experience preferred.
- 3 years' experience in retail, guest services, or general business environment. Prior experience in guest service center or family attraction preferred.
- Strong supervisory skills to manage a large team of mostly part-time employees preferred.
- Strong ability to engage guests, children and families in an upbeat, positive manner. Prior experience working with children preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and make quick decisions. Ability to respond to a situation at hand while maintaining required guest service and programming criteria/policies.
- Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Strong collaboration skills to effectively work across CE department.
- Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
