Assistant Bookkeeper

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join their client's team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is a temporary position with a 6-8 month contract, perfect for those looking to expand their experience in bookkeeping and office support within a professional environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform credit card reconciliations.
  • Document transaction details accurately.
  • Prepare financial reports and statements.
  • Fact-check accounting data and correct discrepancies.
  • Record daily financial transactions and ensure balanced general ledgers.
  • Reconcile statements at month-end.
  • Manage and resolve merchant chargebacks.
  • Perform data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Assist in answering and routing office phone calls.
  • Scan and organize supporting documents into the file system.
  • Process e-commerce payment reports.
  • Provide backup support for team members during absences.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in bookkeeping or a similar role preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Understanding of office management and customer service practices.
    • Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
Work Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Benefits:

This is a temporary role, 100% onsite.

Additional Details:

Pay Range: $20.00 per hour
