Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at Miller Middle School. This coaching position involves instructing middle school students (grades 7 and 8) in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training of basketball. Season runs October 2024 - December 2024. The position begins ASAP.
Preferred Qualifications
Plan and organize practices
Instruct players on techniques to develop fundamental skills
Provide feedback to help players improve
Encourage and support good teamwork and sportsmanship
Assist head coach in other duties
Communicate with players, coaches, parents, AD and admin
Possess fundamental knowledge of basketball
Experience coaching school-aged athletes
CPR/AED certified, or ability to get certified
