**Job Title:** Assistant Branch Manager

The Assistant Branch Manager assists the Branch Manager with developing and managing a business operation that increases sales, profitability, market share, and customer and employee satisfaction by coordinating and monitoring sales, branch operations and personnel development activities.

(Coburn's) operates locations in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama serving the needs of the construction industry. Operating with three Central Distribution Centers in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi enables the company to offer faster and more efficient service to our customers.

Our customers include plumbing, heating and air conditioning, mechanical, municipal and utility, and general contractors, as well as home builders and re-modelers.

**Education & Experience**

* a minimum of 5 years of external experience in a related industry, OR

* a minimum of 3 years of progressive internal experience.

High School diploma or equivalent required AND:

Must possess basic computer skills; intermediate skills preferred.

Must possess product knowledge, leadership and delegation skills and experience.

Must pass company required drug screen and physical and background screening.

Must maintain a valid drivers license and have the ability to travel to Coburns customer and company branch locations.

Must be a minimum age of 21 years old and maintain a valid drivers license and have the ability to travel to Coburns customer and company branch locations.

**In order to operate a forklift,** the operator must be a minimum age of 18 years old and successfully complete Coburns Forklift Operator Certification.

**Summary**

Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 30 lbs.; must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead. Occasionally works with small tools and equipment. Considerable mental/visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental/visual attention. Warehouse environment. Must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required. A consistent presence at work is required.

Employee Management & Development

Develop and manage employee performance to ensure Coburns exceptional level of customer service is maintained while maximizing gross profit per Full Time Equivalent (FTE).

Increase Sales & Profit

Sales & operations are properly developed and managed resulting in increased sales & market share.

Inventory Management

Monitor the stocking levels and proper handling of inventory in order to maintain profitability and provide Coburns exceptional level of customer service, with no injuries, near misses or damaged product.

Customer Service

Ensure Coburns exceptional level of customer service is maintained as measured through increased sales and profits, customer retention, customer feedback and/or satisfaction ratings.
