- Assists the Branch Manager with the daily management of branch operations and associates to ensure sales, growth, and profit objectives. Delegate portion of authority when necessary but may neither delegate overall responsibility for results nor any portion of accountability. Leads team to provide superior service to members.
- Assists the Branch Manager with the successful completion of all required branch reporting. Also, responsible for consistent adherence to operational procedures and regulations regarding account and lending functions. Maintains the smooth daily operations of the branch, including but not limited to facilities operations, security controls, audits, opening / closing procedures, balancing, and supplies.
- Assists the Branch Manager with respect to hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals and interpretation of credit union policies for branch associates. Provides appropriate and timely feedback to branch associates and communicates staffing needs to the Branch Manager.
- Coach, mentor, lead, and motivate branch associates to meet and exceed branch sales and production goals as well as contribute to the overall credit union goals. Provide ongoing training and mentoring to branch associates to maximize opportunities to gain and grow member wallet. Recommend and refer cross-sell opportunities as appropriate.
- Assists the Branch Manager with monitoring sales and service within the branch to ensure sound business practices for the credit union, exceptional service for members and professional development of branch staff. Provides consistent, timely coaching and guidance to associates to assist with strengthening their product knowledge and identifying member needs.
- Assist members with account and loan needs and inquiries, as necessary. Ensures a consistent optimal member experience. Ensures work quality standards are met regarding completion of all required paperwork and information in the system. Assists members with complaint resolution, as necessary.
- Maintain prescribed security controls to protect the facility and its contents against criminal and fraudulent operations and unnecessary risk or exposure and notify the Branch Manager, Facilities, Security, and the Regional Managers of any irregularities immediately.
- Comply with credit union policies and government regulations by securely maintaining member information and records, coordinating efforts with audit, retail operations, compliance, credit resolutions, central operations and records, central lending, and quality assurance. Always maintain confidentiality.
- Assists with initial quality control assessments on loan and account documentation of their own work and documents prepared for member signature by other areas. Consistently scores at an excellent level on quality reviews of their work and leads their team to perform the same. Coaches associates that are underperforming in this area. Works with branch team to resolve any issues/errors and communicates progress to appropriate areas in a timely manner.
- Assists the Member Care Center with answering calls during times of high call volume.
- Participate in departmental, branch and credit union projects and assist with system testing as needed.
- In partnership with the Branch Manager, support the growth of the branch and the credit union, and achievement of goals through business development and community involvement. Assists in building the credit union's presence in the community. Represents the branch, as appropriate, in its relationships with members, community organizations, and vendors.
- Perform other tasks or special project work as assigned.
- In the absence of the Branch Manager, or as required, assume the responsibilities of that position. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the supervision of branch employees, overseeing all member complaints requiring supervisory attention, and ensuring the overall safety and well-being of the branch operation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Incumbent should possess two to four years of financial institution experience, preferably in a credit union. A college degree in a business-related field or its equivalent of three to five years of financial institution experience is desirable, supplemented by a strong curriculum of specific credit union and general business courses in a continuing education setting. Attendance of credit union industry seminars, workshops, and conventions as appropriate.
- One to two years of supervisory experience is desirable but not required if closely supervised and assisted by the Branch Manager.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasionally remaining in a stationary position which may be standing or sitting for a prolonged period of time.
- Occasional travel or moving from one office location to another or from one department to another at the headquarters building.
- Occasional lifting, moving, or adjusting objects up to 20 pounds.
- Constant communication with others through various channels including verbal, email, and chat of which the last two may require consistent use of a keyboard and mouse or another electronic device.
- Work will be in a commercially reasonable temperature-controlled environment.
- Occasional temporary exterior site review which could be in outdoor elements of wind, rain, or snow.
