RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGERMember Service
- Assist member and staff with more complex issues
- Maintain operations quality and integrity in the branch
- Have a thorough understanding of all products and services offered
- Ability to explain benefits and features of all credit union products and accurately provided appropriate disclosures and follow up
- Identify loan and deposit opportunities to deepen relationships
Leadership
- Assist Branch Manager in the overall sales, growth and operation success of the credit union
- Mentor/Coach/Develop staff to meet career, organizational and person goals
- Ensure adherence to Credit Union operational policies and procedures
- Contribute to the overall growth of the branch
- Handle conflict situations effectively
RequirementsEXPERTISE YOU NEEDEducation & ExperienceAssociates Degree with a minimum of two years related experience and/or sales training. Technically savvy, demonstrated consumer lending skills and a minimum of one-year supervisory experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Knowledge of bank operating procedures, practices and policies. *This position may require NMLS Certification ABLE TOTo perform the essential functions of this position an employee must be able to meet the following workplace demands: the ability to converse with others, detect sound, identify and detect objects, count, read, write, operate a computer, handle and feel objects, reach with hands/arms and be stationary and stand and move for long periods. Occasionally an employee will lift/pull/push and carry up to 25 to 50 pounds, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and be able to maintain balance doing these activities. Position requires sound reasoning, good judgment and ability to apply knowledge toward work activities. The noise level is moderate and typical of a normal office environment.
