Job Description:

The Assistant Cashier will join a growing SEC-registered securities and broker/dealer servicing retail and institutional clients. The Assistant Cashier will be responsible for a variety of account maintenance and monitoring all fund movements within the organization, as well as other various tasks. Responsibilities for the Assistant Cashier include:

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring daily trade transactions to ensure funds are received by our clients in a timely manner
  • Margin Calls - Communicate with Clearing House on any variance client funds activities as well as insufficient funds notifications
  • Coordinating the incoming and outgoing securities as well as client live checks
  • Data Entry of all securities activities - identifying, obtaining and executing all client requested (LOA)
  • Obtaining and maintaining all client documents and periodic updates
  • Journal Entries
  • Wire Fund transactions
  • Securities Restructuring Distribution - communicate with all reps any securities re-organization and obtain instructions on final account executions
  • ACATS - coordinating with other brokerage accounts and sales reps for account transfers
  • IRA Distributions
  • Client Account Maintenance
  • Buy-Back - Time sensitive fund transfers
  • Maintenance and tracking of all new account documents and system updates
  • Providing support to all department's inquiries and concerns with a strong emphasis on problem resolutions
  • Assist on other projects/assignments as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Financing or related business fields; MBA preferred
  • Must have 1-3 years of experience in back-office operations of a financial institution
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with acute attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite skills
  • SIE Preferred. Series 7, 63, and 99 are preferred and will become requirement as this role is developed.
