**ASSISTANT CATERING MANAGER, THE STAR (FRISCO, TX)**

**THE STAR**

Opened in summer 2016 as the world headquarters for the Dallas Cowboys, the Star is the most comprehensive NFL training facility in the country. In addition to serving as the home to the entire football operations and practice fields, The Ford Center at The Star will also include a multipurpose, 12,000 seat, indoor stadium that will provide facilities for use by the Cowboys, City of Frisco and Frisco ISD football and soccer games. The facility will include the Cowboys Club Restaurant and catering event spaces, which will offer warm hospitality and unparalleled service for a venue of this kind.

**THE ROLE**

Under the direction of the Catering Manager, is responsible for the overall operation of the assigned premium outlet. Provide leadership, direction and guidance for all frontline outlet staff while upholding all company policies and procedures.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

* Provide Catering Clientele with information that requires a comprehensive knowledge of menus, company policies, practices and operations.

* Oversee set-up and breakdown for all special event functions including space layout and design, equipment load-in, staff assignments.

* Coordinating with the catering manager, clients, facilities, and culinary staff to ensure an excellent event experience.

* Administer staff meetings prior to events to inform staff about event particulars and expectations.

* Complete other duties as assigned by the Catering Services Manager.

* Must maintain a friendly, positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times.

* Report for scheduled event on time and report to assigned area in a timely manner.

* Fulfill opening and closing duties as dictated by management.

* Ensure that all frontline staff are completing assigned duties to the quality mandated by company standards.

* Resolve guest issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

* Ensures that all supplies are stocked as per set par levels, all work areas and outlet are clean and frontline staff are conducting themselves in a professional manner.

* Efficiently and accurately complete required paperwork.

* Always maintains a leadership presence in the dining room, bar and kitchens.

* Work as a team with fellow associates and other service departments within the club and stadium.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

* The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years management experience preferably in premium services, catering and concessions environment for a sports and entertainment venue.

* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.

* Strong commitment to delivering a high level of customer and client service with demonstrated initiative, leadership, and management skills.

* Customer service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management

* Must be able to work in a team environment.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

* Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including nights, weekends, and holidays.
