Job Description:
Reporting to the Head Baseball Coach, the Assistant Coach will assist in developing, organizing and administering all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III Baseball team. This is a four (4) month, part-time position.
Responsibilities include:
* recruiting qualified student-athletes,
* coaching,
* conducting and supervising regular practice sessions and contests,
* assisting with the coordination of all team travel and assisting in driving a passenger van for away team travel,
* acting as a mentor for student-athlete personal development, and
* assisting in the coordination of fundraising and community services events.
The Assistant Coach is responsible for compliance with the NCAA, Skyline Conference, Title IX and SUNY Old Westbury rules and regulations. The successful candidate should have experience with multicultural student body populations.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and baseball coaching experience at the college, high school, club or travel level with demonstrated success. Must have and maintain the appropriate valid NYS driver's license and have a motor vehicle record which is free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and must have a commitment to student-athlete academic success and well-being.
Preferred Qualifications:
First Aid and CPR certifications.
