Job DescriptionPOSITION PURPOSE: The Assistant Coach - Cheer/Instructor works under the general supervision of the Head Coach - Cheer and performs all duties assigned by the Head Cheer Coach. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in planning and organizing practices on a daily basis in the Spring and Fall.
- Ensures that the recruitment of prospective athletes is carried out efficiently, in accordance with college, conference, and national regulations.
- Complies with college expectations regarding decorum and serves as a role model for the student athlete.
- Participates in college and community activities and, when appropriate, is involved in drug/alcohol education programs.
- Participates in the instructional program of the college. Instructional responsibilities will be defined by the chair of Physical Education as well as by the Dean of Science, Kinesiology & Developmental Studies depending on the qualifications of the incumbent.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Required:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Must possess a valid Drivers' License.
- Previous college level cheerleading experience.
- Previous Team USA experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Variances from regular working hours may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
- Busy working environment with numerous interruptions
SALARY: $26,266 annually (This is an 10 month position to be paid over 12 months).
