This is a part-time, seasonal, salaried position located in Parachute, CO. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Responsibilities include:

Effective professionalism and management of the Cross Country program aside the head coach which would include, but is not limited to: scheduling, planning, organizing, in-season and off-season training, budgeting, safety and promoting the Cross Country team and Grand Valley Activities Department and CHSAA.

Demonstrate productive coaching strategies, skills and knowledge of Cross Country/fitness/training.

Establish solid communication and build quality relationships with student participants, parents and the community in general.

To assist the student athlete in the areas of academic excellence and eligibility and provide an atmosphere of personal growth.

A genuine commitment to Grand Valley High School philosophies, students, staff, and surrounding community.

Create and support program purpose in participant intellectual development, agency, productive citizenship, and personal wellness

Desired qualifications:

One to three years of coaching experience.

Skills related to coaching, teaching, recruiting, and mentoring athletes.

Knowledge of CHSAA rules and regulations.

Knowledge and management of sports related injuries.

Teaching Credentials preferred.

Required qualifications:

Must possess or gain CHSAA coaching certification.

Must have a current First Aid/CPR/AED certification based on district policy.

Must have Concussion certification from the NFHS.

Must complete school district small vehicle training.

Must complete the CHSAA test and Mental Health certification with 100% accuracy.

Must complete the Mandatory Reporting paperwork
