Assistant Coach - Men's Soccer

This position will answer directly to the Head Coach of Men's soccer. The primary responsibility will be to serve as the lead recruiter. This position entails significant domestic and international travel. The Assistant Coach will coordinate all aspects of recruiting for a Division 1 soccer program including but not limited to prospective athlete identification, coordinating communication amongst coaching staff, developing a prospect communication plan, arranging unofficial and official visits, creating and monitoring a budget for all recruiting activities, ensuring program compliance to NCAA recruiting rules and regulations. In addition, the position will take on the following responsibilities: Coaching duties as assigned by the head coach, Compliance Liaison, Career Life Skills Liaison, Community Service Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator, Equipment Room Liaison, chief fundraiser and other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and 3 years coaching or equivalent experience.

Skills and Knowledge

* Applicants must pass the NCAA recruiting exam.

* Experience with jump forward recruiting/compliance software is preferred.

Responsibilities

* Assist with recruiting for men's soccer. This includes understanding and adhering to NCAA rules, establishing goals and benchmarks, creating relationships, identifying prospects, managing the database and coordinating all aspects of communication with recruits.

* Work with staff and Head Coach in the development of student athletes.

* Serve as the liaison with the Compliance Office related to NCAA requirements.

* Serve as the liaison with the Equipment Room to coordinate equipment, uniforms, and other team needs.

* Coordinate life skills activities, community service projects, and social media activities.

* Coordinate all fundraising activities.

* Other duties as assigned.
