Assistant Coach, Men's VolleyballCairn University is seeking qualified applicants to fill the part-time position of Assistant Coach for Men's Volleyball. The Assistant Coach will assist the head coach with practice and game planning execution and will be required to attend practices, meetings, games, and team events. Candidates should be able to understand and demonstrate tactical aspects of volleyball and be able to lead drills and training sessions with the head coach. This position also has responsibilities to assist in the recruiting process through email communication, phone calls, and attending tournaments of high school prospective student athletes. The Assistant Coach will also assist the head coach in organizing and implementing fundraising events. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Prior playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred; successful high school or club coaching experience considered. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Cairn is a conservative evangelical institution within the protestant tradition that employs faculty and staff who profess Jesus Christ as personal Savior; agree to Cairn's Statement of Faith and Community Life Covenant; and serve students in a ministerial capacity through imparting and upholding biblical instruction, prayer, and mentoring.
