The Bilingual Assistant Operations Manager works with internal and external clients to meet all operational needs (set-up, tear-down, and cleaning) for all events throughout the complex. This position will also assist the Senior Manager of Operations with entering time into the payroll system, hiring part-time staff, and evaluating/coaching the full-time and part-time operations crew. This position indirectly supervises full-time custodians, housekeepers, casual laborers, and contract employees. This position will work primarily during the second shift.Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Supervise the cleaning, maintenance, and other building operations throughout the complex.
- Work with other departments to make sure that all set-up/tear-down/cleaning tasks are completed for internal and external clients.
- Supervise post-event cleaning activity throughout the entire complex.
- Supervise overnight conversions in the RiverCentre and Roy Wilkins Auditorium.
- Supervise everyday cleaning as well as weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning projects throughout the complex.
- Assist in creating inventory and labor spreadsheets in Excel.
- Supervise and coordinate outside cleaning and snow removal.
- Recommend staffing levels to the Senior Manager of Operations.
- Assist with project management, inventory of supplies, and general maintenance of building equipment.
- Conduct regular building inspections to create a list of cleaning and maintenance projects.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and recommend products that need to be ordered.
- Maintain inventory, maintenance, equipment, and snow logs.
- Supervise full-time, part-time, and contract labor.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings each workday.
- Assign tasks to all staff during the shift.
- Follow up on tasks assigned to staff and coach staff as needed.
- Maintain a written record of tasks completed by each staff member.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Managers, Operations, and other building management.
Position Requirements:Formal Education & Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License preferred.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Fluency in Spanish, both verbal and written required.
- Experience in supervising large numbers of staff.
- Experience in training and coaching staff.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to supervise multiple projects at the same time and coordinate their timely completion.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work within the limits of a departmental budget.

Work Conditions:
- This position works long, irregular hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays, based on events or projects throughout campus. Days off each week will vary based on business needs.
- Work long hours with limited supervision.
