Assistant Community Manager Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Community Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Community Manager with financial operations and ordering
  • Handling rent collections and managing delinquencies for the community
  • Overseeing the administration of property operations and leasing
  • Assisting with the coordination of maintenance, grounds, and service requests
  • Providing excellent customer service and support to our residents and prospective residents
  • Collaborating with the leasing team to achieve and maintain high occupancy and prepare for new move-ins
  • Managing the renewal process for all apartments
  • Leading by example to help maintain a high-performing, customer-focused team with a positive work environment
  • Supporting and assisting with outreach efforts to promote the community
  • Contributing to resident satisfaction and the achievement of community and company goals

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in residential property management
  • Proficiency in PC use, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the Internet
  • Excellent verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information, take initiative, and exercise good judgment; must be a self-starter capable of identifying needs and requirements
  • Ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement resolutions
  • Proven track record of success in leasing
  • Working knowledge of applicable Landlord-Tenant Laws, Fair Housing mandates, and other legal issues affecting property management
  • Strong financial skills, including analysis and budgeting
  • Extensive knowledge of property management systems; experience with OneSite is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
