Location: Corporate Support; 109 Northpark Blvd., Covington, LA 70433 Job Summary: POOLCORP, the world's leading distributor of swimming pool supplies and related products, is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager. This role involves assisting with the management and execution of construction projects, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring projects align with company objectives and schedules. Responsibilities:
  • Assists in managing construction projects, coordinating with internal teams (Real Estate, IT, and Marketing) and external contractors.
  • Assists in managing project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within financial constraints.
  • Monitors construction processes, ensuring adherence to POOLCORP's quality standards and project specifications.
  • Assists in selecting and coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, maintaining effective communication and relationships.
  • Monitors permitting applications and jurisdictional approvals and requirements.
  • Tracks construction schedules, expenses, and internal deadlines using project management software.
  • Prepares regular reports on project progress and issues, ensuring clear communication across teams and with senior management.
  • Contributes to the development and improvement of project management processes and procedures, especially in pre-construction activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and project management principles.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in construction or project management software.
