Full time in the Glens Falls area, Excellent benefits package!Our client is looking for an Assistant Controller to support financial accuracy, manage cash flow, and maintain internal controls. This role will assist with the monthly ERP closing process and ensure effective use of business information systems. Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller will include:
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in accordance with the company's accounting policies and US GAAP rules.
- Maintain precise records for production costs and inventories, including cycle times, labor rates, bills of materials, and overhead rates.
- Prepare and publish internal financial reports by the third working day of each month and ensure accurate information transmission to management.
- Assist with monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and payroll distribution, while supporting accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance and assist with internal controls, systems, and procedures to ensure accurate financial management and reporting.
- Other duties as assigned
Job RequirementsQualifications of the Assistant Controller:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with supervisory and ERP experience preferred.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and sales.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), with preferred knowledge of SQL and Sage Fixed Assets.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
