Job DetailsJob Details:We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Controller to join our dynamic team within the Engineering industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team of engineers and finance professionals. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of our organization, providing key insights that drive strategic decisions. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including cash flow analysis, monthly forecasting, month-end close, inventory controls, provisions, and product costs.Responsibilities:1. Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.2. Ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control.3. Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines.4. Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.5. Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.6. Reconcile income and expenses and ensure all business transactions have been properly recorded.7. Assist with the preparation of budgets or forecasts.8. Participate in preparation for the annual audit.9. Help in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies.10. Review financial data for accuracy, correctness, and completeness.11. Strengthen existing accounting procedures and process improvements.12. Perform cash flow analysis and planning to ensure availability of funds as needed.13. Perform month-end and year-end close processes.14. Develop and implement robust inventory control procedures.15. Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory, liability accounts for customers.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.3. CPA or MBA preferred.4. Experience in the Engineering industry is a plus.5. Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.7. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.8. Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.9. Excellent problem-solving skills.10. Strong written and verbal communication skills.11. Ability to work independently, with little supervision.12. Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.13. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.14. Strong knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and planning.15. Proven experience with financial reporting, inventory controls, provisions, and product costs.16.
