Mozaic (a chapter of NYSARC) is looking for a full-time Assistant Controller in Waterloo, NY. Assistant Controller Duties and Responsibilities: Assumes overall responsibility for agency financial practices through proper accounting and financial management procedures. Ensures the efficient operation of the agency's Business Office, responsive to the needs of internal and external customers. Ensures maintenance of an up-to-date set of accounting records consistent with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Prepares monthly and annual summaries and analyses of financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow, including projections for succeeding months and quarters and trends in income/expense; reports operating results on a timely and consistent basis to the Controller. Performs other varied financial and managerial duties to ensure continued agency financial viability. Supervision: Exercised: Sr. Accountant, A/P Coordinator and Account Coordinator Received: Controller Consults with: Agency Directors Assistant Controller Minimum Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Assistant Controller position should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a concentration in Accounting and have at least five years of experience in accounting, auditing, and financial management, preferably within a not-for-profit environment. Additionally, a minimum of five years of supervisory experience is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, is essential. Experience working with New York State funding streams, including Medicaid, OMRDD, VESID, SED, and OMH, is highly valued.
