Reports to: ControllerThe Assistant Controller will create timely and accurate reporting for both routine and ad hoc reporting requests. The Accountant will have exposure to all areas of the businesses, including but not limited to: daily production reporting; roll stock inventory; accounts payable; sales; prime materials; R&M; distribution; energy and overheads. Other functions include assisting the Controller with weekly forecasts, mid-month estimates, month-end close, annual budget and ad hoc presentations as needed.Responsibilities:Daily Production ReportingRoll Stock (RS) reporting: consumption, receipts, on hand and aged inventoryRevenue analysis, customer mix and reconcile revenues to SAPPhysical Inventories and cycle counts (Roll Stock and Spare Parts)Process accounts payable, expense reports and review of EDI (RS) shipmentsPrepare weekly estimates for RS consumption, rebates and baled waste incomeAssist in the month-end closing and financial reporting process, including account analysis - prime materials and converting costs (Energy, R&M, Distribution and Overheads), including but not limited to:Goods Received/ InvoiceReceived reconciliation and clearingPrepare POs and FIs before AP cut-offEnergy review and accrualOverhead review and accruals Complete month-end (ME) closing for Roll Stock: Mill Wide ME Cut-off, RS consumption, rebates & waste income, includes account reconciliationsPrepare Shrink CalculationPrepare and post Statistical data to SAPMaintain Operating lease scheduleFixed Assets/Capital Project Spend reportingWork with Controller to prepare and submit weekly estimates, including formal mid-month projections to Corporate.Work closely with Controller and Management Team to develop and prepare the annual budget, including KPI's for presentation to Pratt Executive Management.Ensure existence and adherence to internal controlsHeavy ad hoc reporting and analysis using Excel and other systemsWork autonomous and have the ability to effectively multitask.Complies with safety regulations and corporate guidelines on business ethics.Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.Education, Qualifications and/or Experience:Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting.Preferred 5+ years in a manufacturing industry.Knowledge Requirements:Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint); Intermediate Excel skills including: formulas, pivot tables, lookups and graphs.Strong general ledger, accounts payable and payroll working knowledgeExperience in assessing, analyzing and improving business performance.Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to speak effectively before groups.Preferred Systems: SAP, CERTIFY & MILLWIDE.Other InformationSpecial Information (Travel, physical requirements, on-call schedules, and so on):Ability and willingness to work in a fast pace and dynamic environment.Must be able to wear safety glasses, ear protection, and steel toed shoes on the job.Expect and be able to accommodate short notice for overtime and weekend work schedules.Ability and willingness to travel for conferences, training, etc.Willingness to relocate for future advancement preferred.Pratt is America's 5th largest corrugated packaging company and the world's largest, privately-held 100% recycled paper and packaging company, with more than 10,000 highly-skilled, green-collar employees dedicated to the environment and sustainability.
