Job Purpose:
The Assistant Controller will oversee the organization's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective financial management. This role will lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, audit and tax activities, as well as support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Duties:
Oversee and manage all aspects of the accounting operations, including:
Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and reporting.
Preparation and recording of corporate journal entries (e.g., accruals, payroll).
Analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and balance sheets.
Coordination of intercompany transactions, including P&L, assets, liabilities, and equity.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Coordinate and manage the annual audit and tax filing process, liaising with external auditors and tax professionals.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies within the finance function.
Utilize analytical skills to assess financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.
Maintain and ensure the integrity of financial data and reporting systems.
Oversee the management of cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity and financial stability.
Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document all transactions and financial activities
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA or CMA preferred).
Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a management role.
Extensive knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations (healthcare provider industry preferred)
Work well in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with Accounting / ERP software (MS Dynamics Business Central is preferred).
Working knowledge of MS Excel (pivots, vlookups, etc.) and Office Suite
Detail-oriented, results-driven, and able to multi-task.
Strong computer and communication skills.
Self-motivated and ability to work independently.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
