The finance department is an autonomous business function as part of a corporation. While most functions will be completed locally, coordinating and complying with corporate direction is required. Reports directly to the Finance Manager.
1. Oversee and supporting daily accounting functions. 2. Manage Accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. 3. Provide monthly financial statements including variance analysis and PPV reporting. Prepare all monthly reconciliations and support the AR/AP functions. Track and maintain fixed asset reporting. 4. Perform cash management in coordination with our corporate financial leadership. Banking decisions will be made at the corporate level. 5. Provide financial review, and advice to finance team and support cost saving initiatives. 6. Actively participate in financial compliance regulations and develop training, work instructions, financial controls, and operating procedures. 7. Assist with annual business plan through a bottom-up process involving all facets of the business through leadership and teamwork. 8. Provide financial reporting to local and corporate management as required. 9. Ensure all financial policies, procedures, and activity are legal and ethical. Inform management of any discrepancies immediately. 10. Other duties as required by management.
Required 1. Associates degree in accounting or finance. 2. 3 – 5 years' experience in an assistant controller or similar financial position. 3. Intermediate user for excel and other Microsoft applications. 4. A positive disposition conducive to interacting and supporting employees, peers, and management. 5. Cost or standard cost accounting experience in a manufacturing company.
Preferred: 1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 2. 5+ years' experience as a financial leader during a business startup. 3. CPA 4. Experience in overseeing day to day accounting functions. 5. Cost or standard cost accounting experience in a manufacturing company.
