Training and Experience
  • No less than three years of fast-paced accounting or other financial experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration desired. Will consider an Associate's degree withdemonstrated success, of at least five years' duration, in a comparable position.
  • Microsoft products proficiency.
  • ERP software proficiency.
  • English language proficiency.
ResponsibilitiesAccountantThis role requires that the incumbent become an Acumatica power user, especially within, but not limited to, the financialmodules. Training will be provided, but much personally driven and practically un-ending self-learning will be essential. 1. Assisting the Accounting Transactional Specialist with their AR, AP, cash, etc duties. a.Guiding, when necessary, concerning transactional issues and questions, i. Particularly, but not exclusively, related to Acumatica b. Reviewing reconciliations for timely, full and proper completion. 2. General Accounting a. Analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts, such as:i. Pre-paid expenses.ii. Pre-paid real estate taxes.iii. Etc. b. Timely preparing various monthly journal entries. For example, the monthly yards poured general journal entry: i. To include comparing bulk inventory monthly physical inventory reports to general ledger account balanceii. If account balance does not compare reasonably well to physical inventory report, convene timely meeting including self and any of the following individuals, as appropriate; Chief Engineer, Plant Manager, QA/QC Manager, VP of Finance and Administration, etc. Facilitate the identification of potential reasons for differences and suggest corrective actions. c. Assisting the external accountants with the completion of the annual audit.i. Coordinate timely completion of the external accountants' PBC schedule.ii. Prepare analyses and reconciliations as required.iii. Etc 3. Otheri. Completing other duties as assigned.QualificationsQualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in general ledger management, financial reporting, and cost allocations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives and implement efficient financial processes.
  • Tech-savvy with expertise in using Power BI for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems; experience in system implementation is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
