Maintain accounting systems, including the general ledger, fixed assets and accounts payable, that properly reflects the financial position and results of Orrstown Financial Services, Inc. (parent) and subsidiaries, including Orrstown Bank; prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations and assist in the management of the general ledger close process; demonstrate robust understanding of general ledger governance and data requirements to support financial reporting and taxes; perform technical accounting research; maintain effective internal control environment impacting accounting and financial reporting; assist with projects and initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; continued education through seminars, etc.
Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Accounting positions and a minimum of three (3) years in supervisory roles; public accounting experience a plus; prior experience in bank accounting beneficial but not crucial.
Excellent accounting, mathematical, verbal and written communication, organizational, problem solving, resourcefulness and interpersonal relations skills; demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and reporting financial information; ability to research and interpret technical accounting guidance, adept utilizing Excel and general computer applications including database management; self-motivated and proven ability to work independently with attention to detail and to manage, direct and develop staff.
