Assistant Dining Room Manager - (12:00pm - 8:30pm - Every other weekend and Holidays are required)Join our vibrant retirement community and enjoy being a key team member in our elegant dining experience. Primary Purpose:Assistant Dining Room Manager is responsible for the management of dining rooms and events. They are responsible for assuring a high standard of appearance, hospitality, graciousness, service, and cleanliness. They plan, coordinate and direct activities of their dining room staff to provide professional and fine dining service. Following our mission, Assistant Dining Room Manager is expected to exceed resident's expectations. Essential Duties:Must be flexible and able to adjust to meet the changing needs of residents/guests. Must Maintain a level of professionalism and graciousness at all times. Must be able to tolerate pressure and work calmly and efficiently during busy times. Anticipate resident needs and ensure that service meets/exceeds expectations to ensure a memorable dining experience.Inspect dining rooms, table settings, chairs, floors and dining equipment for proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safety. Manages the reservation, set-ups, and seating systems during operating hours. Ensure side work is completed every day and dining room supplies are stocked. Proactively reviews activity calendars, daily specials, and other applicable announcements to predict volume. Train new hires in service standards, menu items, use of software systems. Assist with banquet room set up and break down. Provides accurate par levels to the ADM, DRM and or F&B Director. Attends and participates in annual mandated facility in-service training programs as scheduled (e.g., OSHA, DOH, HIPAA, Abuse Prevention, etc.). Work within the Departments SOP so all staff experience consistent management. Assure that food being presented to the servers is the appropriate order, temperature serving. Advocates for the residents and guests to have the best dining experience. Relays positive feedback to staff upon receipt from residents and guests. Can cater to the needs of those with different abilities. Provides follow-up to the DRM, F&B Dir and HR. Assigns breaks to staff as needed. Always know the location of staff. Participate in the budget planning process as directed. Ensures that storage areas are always clean and always safe. Corrects any safety violations immediately. Inspects par levels to be prepared for day-to-day operations. In the absence of DRM, will handle some tasks usually assigned to DRM.Operates a computer/ipad/phone to enter, retrieve or modify data; utilizes word, excel, outlook, Matrix/AOD, internet and other software programs at a high level of proficiency.Education: High School Diploma/GED. Sev Safe And RAMPS Certification required after hire.Must have excellent communications skills and good supervisory skills.
