Title: Assistant Director, Admissions-PHS Location: Midtown Org Unit: Education Work Days: Weekly Hours: 35.00 Exemption Status: Exempt Salary Range: $86,900.00 - $98,600.00 *As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices Position Summary Reporting to the Associate Director, the Assistant Director coordinates the application and enrollment process for admissions into the M.S. in Healthcare Policy and Research program. Maintains and organizes admissions and recruitment data. Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the application process for all applicants in the pipeline for the M.S. program.
  • Communicates with and advises applicants throughout the admissions process regarding missing application materials and other application-related topics via email and phone.
  • Communicates and responds to inquiries from potential applicants.
  • Ensures applications are complete with all materials verified and ready for evaluation. Assign applications for committee review.
  • Organizes and provides admissions and recruitment data to leadership as needed.
  • Coordinates the enrollment process; works with student accounting on tuition deposit and/or deferral deposits to ensure timely processing; and works closely with Coordinator for Current Students to ensure smooth enrollment process for students.
  • Ensures the admissions department receives all official transcripts prior to the start of the term and that all incoming students have completed an undergraduate degree.
  • Updates application guidelines/rubrics, trains faculty and education staff on the use of the application software, and resolves any problems identified by applicants or faculty on application-related matters.
  • Serves as a liaison with the Graduate School to communicate application changes, and various WCM departments as needed.
  • Responsible for tracking all student admissions activities and maintaining student admissions records.
  • Maintains CRM for all incoming students to track life-cycle of applications.
  • Assists with admissions events including recruitment events, information sessions, admitted student days, etc.
  • Assists with preparation for admissions-related meetings.
  • Works closely with Associate Director on changes needed for admissions website and development of recruitment materials.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree
Experience Master's degree is preferred. Approximately 2 years of related work experience. Experience in an academic research environment preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications.
  • Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize work.
  • Ability to remain focused in the face of pressure, deliver against timelines and not be intimidated by tasks/time limitations
  • Ability to treat confidential information with utmost discretion.
  • Demonstrates ability to exercise standards of professionalism, including appearance, presentation and demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative manner with all departmental faculty and staff, as well as other institutional representatives.
