With more than $1.2 billion in assets and located in historic downtown Baltimore, MD, this not-for-profit financial institution proudly serves more than 100,000 members.POSITION SUMMARY:In most cases, this individual works autonomously to oversee the efficient operation of the branch ensuring all operational functions are completely and properly performed while conveying a feeling of trust, service, security and satisfaction to members and staff. Directs staff in maintaining member loyalty while abiding by MECU policies and procedures. Ensures that branch staff complies with all state, federal and NCUA regulations. Directs branch staff in attaining results and meeting/exceeding goals relative to expanding existing and potential member relationships, developing new business, and generating loan growth. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Coaches staff to optimum performance.QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Weekend (Saturday two (2) or more per month) hours required.
EDUCATION:
- Associates Degree in Business required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of financial experience required.
- Five (5) to Seven (7) years of management/supervisory experience required.
- Related experience in a financial institution, preferably in a credit union.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURES:
- Lending Certification within 3 years
- Lending Certification - complete first module within first year in position, modules 2 & 3 within second year and modules 4 & 5 within third year in position.
- Obtain and/or maintain Notary Commission
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this position, the successful candidate is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, keyboards or controls; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop or kneel. Must regularly lift and/or move files and equipment up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25-pound objects.
