Job Summary
The Assistant Director, Careers in Computer Science and Technology will scale up programming and resources designed to prepare undergraduate students for successful careers in the technology industry, computer science, data analytics, and related fields. In addition, this team member will lead efforts to expand the University's employer network, with a particular focus on placing students in jobs and internships with large tech firms.
This role will oversee an advisory council of alumni and employers in tech who will update the University on industry trends and guide its efforts to make the College a top destination for computer science talent. The Assistant Director will also travel frequently to regional tech hubs including the West Coast and Bay Area to build and strengthen relationships with alumni, employers, and other stakeholders in the region. This team member will also provide one-on-one advising for students, organize and execute impactful career education programs, track and report key data on student outcomes, and collaborate with campus partners as needed.
This position requires a passion for empowering students for career success, strategic thinking skills, strong relationship and program management skills, and ideally a background working in higher education, talent development, or in a partnerships-focused role. The ideal candidate will be a proactive relationship manager and talented individual contributor with a record of success in complex, fast-paced environments.
