Primary Responsibilities:Instructional Design & Faculty Support:
- Collaborate with faculty members to design and develop engaging learning activities and course content that enhance student retention and knowledge transfer.
- Consult with faculty and departments to support the development of face-to-face, blended, and online courses.
- Apply instructional design principles within the Learning Management System (LMS), particularly Canvas.
- Develop and facilitate teaching-related workshops, programs, and initiatives that support faculty professional development.
- Coach faculty toward achieving their teaching and learning goals, integrating both new and existing technologies into their instructional practices.
- Support faculty in incorporating faith-based perspectives into their teaching and course content.

Project Management & Quality Assurance:
- Lead project management efforts related to course development, ensuring timely completion and alignment with institutional goals.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews on courses, implement necessary revisions, and ensure all quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with the Information Technology department to support the use of both credit and non-credit bearing course systems by Lipscomb personnel.
Additional Duties:
- Take on additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Senior Director of the CTL and the Senior Executive Director of the Learning Commons to support the Center's mission.
Education & Experience:Education:
- Master's degree in Instructional Design (Preference given for a doctorate in an academic discipline).
Experience:
- Experience in course design, online course design, curriculum development, training, or e-learning.
- Experience using emerging technologies for teaching and learning.
- Experience in project management, particularly in an educational setting.
- Teaching or support experience at the college/university level.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficiency in instructional design within an LMS (Canvas preferred).
- Strong knowledge of outcomes-based curricular design, assessment of learning outcomes, student-centered learning, and learning theories.
- Expertise in working with multiple computer platforms, including Windows, Mac, and mobile devices.
- Expertise in project management.
- Experience with system-level and campus-wide course/learning management and delivery tools.
