We are excited for you to join our organization to advance the mission and operational effectiveness for our continued growth to serve the community.Position Summary: Supervise and lead staff, assist in classrooms when short-staffed, design program plans, oversee daily activities, and prepare budgets. They are responsible for all aspects of their centers program, which may include before- and after-school care and curriculum planning.Duties and Responsibilities:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Manage daily staffing of classrooms to be in ratio by adjusting classroom assignments
- Return all phone calls to parents and perspective parents on a daily basis
- Return all emails to staff and childcare families
- Review and sign all accident/incident
- Inspect and manage setup of classrooms to be in compliance with Youngstar and State guidelines
- Collect lists and shop for classrooms needs
- Plan for transitions and notify teachers of new students entering new classroom and old students leaving classroom. Also send letters to parents that would include transition dates, times, and location of new room.
- Fill in for short term classroom vacancies because of sickness, vacation, etc.
- Develop fundraisers and family social events to benefit childcare department
- Working with other St. Ann Center departments on intergenerational activity planning
- Building relationship with childcare parents
- Use of Procare and KidKare for childcare and CACFP
- Help plan meetings
- Training staff
- Summer camp planning
- Keep track of lesson plans, portfolios, assessments, and collaboration with the teachers
- Additional responsibilities assigned by the Director of Childcare
