Assist the Director in implementing a standard workflow for all Patient Access to obtain maximum reimbursement from third-party payers. Assist the Director with reviewing workflows to ensure revenue optimization. Provide necessary accounting information for strategic reporting. Work with the IV/ Financial Counseling teams to ensure all accounts have the correct insurance plan(s) allocated for accurate billing.The Assistant Director of Fiscal Affairs and Duties and Responsibilities: Will supervise the day-to-day operations of Frontend to ensure all edits, Medicaid applications, and insurance information are collected and submitted in a timely manner. Review and analyze data to identify gaps and advise the Director, Deputy CFO & CFO. Train Employees/ Front End staff to review patient account records to ensure patient's insurance is properly set up to be billed; Assist with the execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting related to RCS & Facility Initiatives Participate in cross-functional department projects Reconcile/Review financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information monthly Ensure staff complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends within Epic Financials Serve as backup for other PAM's when needed Collaborate with central registration to ensure RCS targets are met/completed Runs and reviews weekly front-end aging reports. Manage Front End Work Queues. Facilitates team meetings as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Patient AccountsMinimum Qualifications1. Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline with an emphasis on accounting and financial systems; and two (2) years of responsible-level experience in fiscal management or administration with an emphasis on financial systems, management information and controls, one (1) year of which must have been in a responsible administrative or managerial capacity; or2.
