Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Accountable for taking a lead role in the development of inclusive and meaningful training opportunities and programming for peer tutors employed by the CLTR and across the university. Work to ensure that the tutoring program aligns with the institutions goals and student success objectives. Responsible for designing, implementing, and assessing programs that support college-level study strategies, time management, and effective learning practices (1:1 support, student-centered workshops, & evaluating and adapting learning resources). Provide individualized academic support to students, helping improve their reading comprehension, critical thinking, and information retention skills. Must have a good understanding of the complex relationship between reading and writing. Plan and deliver workshops and group sessions focused on academic reading strategies and study skills.
