Every employee takes a person-centered approach that exemplifies the ICARE values (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence) through empathic communication and partnerships between all persons.Work Shifts9AM - 5 PMJob DescriptionPURPOSE OF POSITIONFunction as the Quality Improvement Lead for the Department of Surgery and Peri-op ServicesAREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIESQuality Improvement and Quality Data ManagementSUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.Conduct data management and reporting for the Department of Surgery and Peri-op Services2. Manage all administrative tasks relate to monthly Surgery Performance Improvement meetings (scheduling, preparing data, agenda material, minutes, etc.)3. Conduct chart reviews to ensure SCIP measures (Prophylactic antibiotics) compliance and report it to the monthly Surgery Performance Improvement meeting.4. Collect and analyzes data needed as a basis for administrative and management decisions including reviewing, creating and enforcing policies.5. Assists in the administration management of specified activities and functions.6. Carries out assignments and undertakes studies involving performance improvement for the Department of Surgery, Anesthesia and Perioperative services.7. Prepares and develops informational data and participates to continue development and update of activity performance.8. Works with the Chiefs of all surgical services and Anesthesia to identify service gaps and need for PI projects. Represents and facilitates in quality meeting for the Department as needed.9. Works with Quality Management and Office of Medical Affairs to identify cases and reporting to prepare Surgery Quarterly Council Dashboard report, AOPIC and M&M cases and action plan for any fallout items.10. Works with the Department Head and Chiefs of Service with any existing and new data collection platforms such as Leapfrog, NSQIP, ASMBS and EPIC to manage Department performance data.11. Reviewing charts and reporting delinquent findings are escalated to the appropriate provider.12. Attends Departmental meetings, Council Meetings, trainings and in-service as required.13. Completes all other tasks delegated by the Service Line Administrator, Chief Nursing Officer, Chief of Surgery.Minimum Qualifications1. Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in hospital administration,health care administration, public health or a related discipline; or2. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as described in 1 above,and one (1) year of administrative experience; or3.
