Job Description: The Assistant Director of Admissions - Transfer plays a pivotal role in the recruitment and enrollment of transfer students, with a primary focus on New England and a strong emphasis on Vermont. This position involves building and maintaining relationships with community colleges, prospective transfer students, and other partners to drive transfer enrollment initiatives. Significant Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advise and Guide Transfer Students: Provide comprehensive support to prospective transfer students on admission procedures, academic planning, credit transfer policies, course equivalency, transfer scholarships, and program requirements, with an emphasis on integrated technology programs, ensuring a smooth transition process.
- Recruit and Represent: Represent the college at transfer fairs, community college events, and virtual and in-person programs throughout New England, working flexible hours during peak recruitment seasons to attract and counsel transfer students.
- Build Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with senior enrollment leadership and community colleges to develop and implement transfer articulation agreements and innovative recruitment strategies, focusing on integrated technology programs to expand enrollment opportunities.
- Communicate and Engage: Maintain consistent communication with prospective, current, and admitted transfer students through email, phone, and text, providing timely and accurate information to foster strong connections and enhance enrollment outcomes.
- Ensure Data Accuracy and Collaboration: Accurately manage undergraduate transfer application data in the college's database and collaborate with academic and administrative departments to facilitate services, share applicant data, and support enrollment goals.
- Develop Expertise and Drive Results: Stay informed about college programs and articulation agreements to effectively respond to prospective students' inquiries, participate in professional workshops, and contribute to meeting enrollment targets for the transfer student population.
Requirements: Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 3 years in admissions field preferred
- Experience working with an admissions CRM, preferably Salesforce

- Requires close work on a computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
- Includes frequent nights and weekends as well as travel.
