Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Advancement & Annual Fund performs a variety of administrative and recordkeeping functions in support of the Office of Advancement and the South Georgia State College Foundation. This includes collaboration with administrative personnel, college faculty & staff, students, alumni, Foundation trustees, and community members.

Responsibilities

Daily Operations -

Provides daily oversight of SGSC Foundation operations to include managing the budget and financial obligations of the Foundation as well as maintaining policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws.

Provide Support to SGSC Alumni -

Provides support to alumni and community partners wishing to engage with the college through special events and meetings.

Annual Fund Program -

Provides administrative oversight of SGSC's Annual Fund Program, to include internal and external audiences.

Plans, Schedules and Coordinates -

Plans, schedules and coordinates the SGSC Foundation meetings and events, to include timely communication of college and Foundation information to trustees.

Foundation Scholarship Program -

Provides administrative oversight of the SGSC Foundation Scholarship Program.

Foundation Events -

Facilitates special campus and Foundation events in collaboration with the Director of Advancement.

Maintain Files and Records -

Maintain a variety of files and records; maintain and update databases of names, addresses, and other personal information.

Collaboration -

Collaborates with the Director of Advancement and the Coordinator of Campus & Development Services & Library Administration in management of the college's donor management software (database).

Collaborates with the Director of Advancement in developing and maintaining positive relationships with donors.

Strategic Planning -

Participates in strategic planning and serves as a proxy for the Director of Advancement as needed in his/her absence.

Other Duties -

All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

Baccalaureate degree in a course of study to the occupational field.

Required Experience:

Two or more years of related experience.

OR

A combination of education and years of experience equivalent to the baccalaureate degree and years of experience.

Proposed Salary

Annual Salary: $58,656 plus benefits

This is an EXEMPT position.
