Job DescriptionPURPOSE OF POSITIONUnder general supervision with considerable latitude for the exercise of independent initiative and judgement, serves as a facilitation and coordination medium for assigned functional activities delegated by the Deputy Director or designee relating to administration and management of Gotham Health.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities include overall coordination and communication of operations to leadership team, review of, policies, protocols, and budget. Ensure school-based health clinical guidelines are adhered to. Complete regular monthly and periodic reports on productivity, quality metrics and clinical outcomes for communication to Gotham Health leadership team.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the practice operations, performance appraisal, training, disciplinary activities, recruitment, student experience, clinic utilization, revenue cycle management, and billing2. Implements and facilitates the operations restructuring at the clinics3. Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team staff to improve student's enrollment, registration workflows and scheduling.4. Develop and revise policy and procedures, as well as oversee standardization and programmatic function to ensure streamlined service delivery across the clinics.5. Work collaboratively with Finance to develop a training module for the staff6. Manage multilateral communications between the school administration, clinical team, and senior management to ensure strong relationships with patients, associates, regulatory entities, labor and employee relations, and parent stakeholders7. Ensure that the clinic are meeting all regulatory requirements such as the New York State Department of Health, IPRO, and Gotham Health standards.8. Provide data collection on utilization and identify opportunities for improvement9. Monitor, prepare, and submission of statistical and narrative reports as required by funding and regulatory agencies.10. Complete renewal applications as needed.11. Identify and resolve daily systems and workflow issues that may negatively impact productivity and revenue12. Facilitate enrollment, outreach and educational training sessions for staff13. Support team in efforts for patient health and initiatives14. Assist in monitoring goals, objectives, policies procedures and system for clinics.15. Works with leadership and Quality staff to implement QI/QA projects.16. Submits required monthly, quarter and annual reports17. Undertakes special projects/assignments as determined by Leadership Director
Minimum Qualifications1. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Management, Health Care Administration or related discipline; and,2. Six (6) years of full-time paid experience of program development in a hospital or health care facility in meeting community health needs, health care planning, financial planning, operations and analysis and implementation in an administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity; or,3. A master's degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of full-time paid experience at the level indicated in (2) above.4. Demonstrated skills in written and medical communications; or,5. A satisfactory equivalent of education, training and experience.
Department PreferencesQUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:CERTIFICATION(S)/LICENSE(S):EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: Bachelors Ambulatory care experience management experience in school-based health. Equivalent combination of training, education and experience in related fields and educational levels.
KNOWLEDGEABLE IN: Effective Interpersonal Skills, Excellent Customer Service oriented behavior/attitude. Proficiency in English and a second language preferred. Knowledge of FQHC key requirements, NYS and NYC guidelines and regulations about School Health program Knowledgeable in EPIC Demonstrated ability to establish a leadership role and develop relationships Ability to write narrative sections for reports and grants. Demonstrated ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. Demonstrated ability to form community and school partnerships. Must possess intermediate to advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of Online School Clinic Data Repository Familiar with Citywide Immunization Registry database Must be comfortable commuting to various sites. Proficient with Excel
